My First ACCESSIBLE Flash Movie

This session will walk through all the steps necessary to create an accessible Flash® advertisement. I will demonstrate the use of a screen reader to illustrate examples of accessible and inaccessible ads. I’ll show how to create a simple ad, one that does not change size, contain audio or video, and has only one link. Step by step, the movie will become more complex, by adding additional buttons and audio while keeping accessibility objectives in mind.

Also included in the session will be the effects of the wmode attribute on accessibility and techniques for creating accessible alternatives for movies that use wmode.
